The only special Dropsuits that I'm aware of are the Quafe Scout Suit (which you get for ordering Fanfest HD Stream, only part of the rewards for doing so) and the Caldari Prime (Gallente Scout & Caldari Assault) suits ... which frankly are the Militia Suits with cool colours; nice but frankly they gave us an absolutely stupidly low number of them.
This would be fine if they were say on-par with a Type-II / Advanced Suits with the Militia Requirements, but they're not.
Just the bog standard freebie suit with a slightly different colour scheme; that frankly doesn't even match the schemes used in EVE - which imo would've been far better given Caldari have a sweet Blue-Black-White Digital Camo with the Gallente having a Brown-Green-Khakis Jungle Camo. That would've looked awesome, but no they're just well simple colour bands, not even the Logos of the respective Federal Defence Union and State Protectorate on them.
Complete disappointment on the whole.
Even still there is no items in EVE or DUST that are Regionalised... because, well we're not in different regions; atleast not as far as the game is concerned.
There are likely proxy servers in each of the major markets: East US, West US, EU and Asia; but the reality is that it is all linked to a single server farm, with everything happening within a single universe; in-particular the fact that all of the items for both DUST 514 and EVE Online are actually on the same database server, along with your assets, characters... etc...
Now there is a chance that Rare / Unique Dropsuit and Vehicles have been given to winners of a competition or such, this is quite comment particularly after tournaments ... but I have NEVER heard of CCP ever limiting items to just a single region which would actually be incredibly difficult to support without having completely different shards, which as I said is not the case.
You ask me one of your EU Friends is frankly just trolling you, which you've bought so hook-line-and-sinker that you're here QQing about it on the forums. |

It is available via all PSN Home not just Europe.
What you're /suppose/ to do to get the code is:
Talk to the Recruitment Guy, he tells you to watch all the videos, then win a game of that annoying strategy game that frankly isn't well developed (could be interesting if it has been) ... then you go back an talk to him, where he says go to the Recruitment Kiosk which it then is suppose to show a code on the screen you write down and enter into Redeem Item.
You can then claim your, Special Skin Gallente Pirate LAV
Now I say that is what you're /suppose/ to do because that no longer bloody works, likely to have been some very limited time offer that because the PSN Home are is updated once in a blue moon (because no one bloody goes there.. PS Home is freaking annoying and pointless) it hasn't changed to mention that this time limited deal is probably already over.
The "Dropsuit" is not actually an in-game item, but rather is the Caldari Assault Dropsuit costume for your PS Home Avatar which is now available via the PS Home area or whatever it is.
Something to point out is that they changed the name of the DUST Home Area, chiefly to something that doesn't mention DUST, EVE or even CCP in the title. Seriously I think it was called something like The Hangout Station or something equally as annoying and/or stupid, so might take you a while to find the damn thing or realise what you're looking at is the room you need to update and access because iirc CCP only comes up after several seconds of description have scrolled.
Personally I find PS Home to be one of the most irritating aspects of the PSN, it's annoying, unintuitive to use and literally everyone is like "Oh there are no adverts on PSN like XBL" but honestly there are ... Sony just moved them all into a single convenient area to constantly harass you with in PS Home. Hell the whole thing is just one big chatroom with adverts everywhere.
Don't get me wrong the concept for it isn't bad, just the execution of it.
Personally want my advice, remove the PS Home area and release a separate Free-to-Play App (or better yet add it as a section of the station we can enter in DUST!) so we don't have to deal with Sony's half-based ideas that is just crap. |
